hi Moira,
in vedic astrology, the charts -- north and south charts -- have a particular order that the signs go in and that does not change -- only the houses change.
I always use the south system in vedic astrology.
so this means that in the south system the signs are as follows:
we will start at the top of the chart -- the four squares (these are the houses) at the top -- from left to right will be: pisces, aries, taurus, gemini.
three squares (houses) on the right after gemini will be:
cancer, leo, virgo.
and working your way around the chart -- clockwise:
libra, scorpio, sagittarius, capricorn, aquarius -- and then you will be back at pisces (top left corner house).
so the signs never change -- only the houses b/c wherever the asc is in the birth chart will be the 1h -- no matter what sign it falls in.
I do have a vedic astrology software program -- but I'm not able to upload the chart.
looking at your navamsa chart -- your asc in the navamsa chart is sagittarius, ruler jupiter, sits in the 10h conjunct the sun -- aspected by mars in the 3h -- and since saturn rx sits in the 9h & rahu sits in the 11h, jupiter is surrounded by malefics, which includes the sun.
the 7h in your navamsa chart is gemini, ruler mercury sits in the 2h.
Navamsa Chart:
asc sagittarius
mercury in 2h (capricorn)
moon conjunct mars in 3h (aquarius)
ketu in 5h (aries)
saturn rx in 9h (leo)
sun conjunct jupiter in 10h (virgo)
rahu in 11h (libra)
venus in 12h (scorpio)

Of course we should evaluate the chart as a whole, but when you're saying that the ascendant ruler is surrounded by malefics, I think this may indicate some unfavourable outcomes considiring marriage, right? Eventhough I dont want to look this way..

hi Moira,
actually, you would look at the ruler of the 7h (partner) of the navamsa chart to see the marriage partner, etc. as well as the relationship house in the natal birth chart too -- to see what is going on w/ that house and its ruler.
