I think I tolerate eccentric people better than most people seem to do,
although the term 'tolerate' would be inappropriate for some of them
because I get along well with them.
I'm referring to genuinely eccentric people - not attention seekers. _________________ I'll have what she's having |

I tolerate a lot, I tolerate people's mistakes and the way some people treat me, I forgive them for their mistakes and let is pass, not because I am a pushover, it's just that I do not attach myself to people enough to get worked up about things. I think life is too short. I am also wise enough to know that attacking someone back is not always the best solution, it's all about learning from others mistakes and being the bigger person. I just see it as such people have a lot to learn in life.... _________________ Mariah's Twin

sorry to say -- I don't have much tolerance for anything. I really cannot stand the idea of having to tolerate something. lol _________________ *astrology*can*solve*any*mystery*

Golden Rose, I think this is a good quality to have. Forgiveness is a virtue -- not a weakness. _________________ *astrology*can*solve*any*mystery* |

people having differences, different opinions and a different way of looking at or doing things.
it seems a lot of people try to control others for wanting something differently than them.. |

I tolerate living in an area where the mindset has led them to replace all 20+ individual country flags that used to fly at the "International" Port of Coos Bay... with only American flags... and still the flag that flies the highest in the middle, and is great big, of course is the American flag. On that strip of road in less than 2 miles there are probably 30 American flags, one above the visitors center that appears big enough to cover an entire neighborhood. They used to just do this for the week of the patriotic holidays like Memorial Day and July 4th, but currently only the U.S. flags have flown for about a year and a half. If you write a letter to the editor about it, you get angry responses directed at you, 100 to 1, of how you must be a Communist, how you must hate the United States, how you must be a screaming Liberal who longs for the New World Order, how the U.S. is a God-fearing country, ect and so on, so forth.
In reality, I hold allegiance to no political system, I do not hate my country while I can acknowledge there are, you know, other countries just as 'good" as ours, I am not a liberal but yeah, I'd love to see a "new world", and if God lived in the U.S. we can only hope he or she is well armed and didn't take out any sub-prime loans a few years back.
I really do miss the colorful, multi-country flags that used to grace our boardwalk. _________________ 99% of the worlds lovers are not with their first choice. That's what makes the jukebox play. |

Coos Bay, Oregon. I have a link here but the page isn't loading at the moment. www.portofcoosbay.com
I do not know if there is a picture of the port with only the U.S. flags or not at that site.
I love the area in general, but this flag thing has really become a sticking point for me, for several reasons. One is purely aesthetic, in that the display of multi- country flags were colorful and beautiful; the U.S. flag rightfully flew in the middle and higher than the rest because this is the U.S., and that makes sense. But now all of the flags flying at the Port are U.S. flags. 7 days a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year. This has the waterfront looks bland and homogenized, more like one is approaching a military installation instead of a little town by the sea. _________________ 99% of the worlds lovers are not with their first choice. | I agree, I like the look of flags, all of them especially probably the black flag of anarchism. during the first gulf war my biker & I flew the black flag on the flagposle here while everyone was at the village celebrating the "end" of that conflict. we photographed it. |

I really like this topic.
Emotions. Someone complaining. Someone else's stories and boring details of their life no one else cares about. Love that stuff. I have a really high thresh-hold for complaining and smart-a$s comments.
People here tend to fear emotions OR if you hurt yourself it's like 'suck it up' 'soldier on' 'she'll be right'. If it hurts, it hurts! What's wrong with caring
Don't worry world, i care.. (moon/mars in cancer, LOL ) _________________ contre le montre |
